Erica’s passion for human movement has always been fueled by this message, “Take care of your body, because it’s the only place you have to live.” Her appreciation for what the body is capable of stems from early childhood participation in team sports like basketball and volleyball. She believes that choosing to move your body and learning about its capabilities must come from a place of joy. No matter where you are in your journey to a healthier lifestyle, she hopes to empower others to take control of their wellness.Erica has experience in both fitness and clinical settings. As a physical therapy aide and former caregiver, Erica has experience caring for adults with disabilities. While at Cal State University Northridge (CSUN), where she received a B.S. Degree in Kinesiology, May of 2019, she was also an instructor with the nationally recognized 3 WINS Fitness program providing free exercise for communities across Los Angeles County. Through this affiliation, she jumpstarted Friday Morning Matadors (FMM), a free group fitness program at CSUN for the San Fernando Valley. It was here where she further developed her passion for bringing people together through exercise and decided to expand her work in the fitness field by working overseas. Erica is furthering her professional education by taking additional studies in Physical Therapy. Currently, Erica competes in Olympic Weightlifting.
