You've got to Move it, Move it

There really is no way around it- exercise is medicine. Moving our bodies is one of the sure fire ways to keep ourselves healthy. When it comes to preventing diabetes, research strongly supports moderate daily exercise, such as walking to reduce risk. Add in some resistance or strength training, and now you may just make diabetes pack up and go look for another victim.

The US Physical Activity Guidelines specifically recommend at least 150 minutes a week of moderate intensity exercise, for example 3 times for 50 minutes or 5 times for 30 minutes, and twice weekly muscle strengthening exercises.
