Community Education is proud to share that we have graduated our third Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) cohort with more outstanding results. They worked hard to reduce the possibility of being one of the projected 1/3 or more of Americans who to be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes by 2050.
Our next DPP cohort begins soon. If you or anyone you know is at risk for type-2 diabetes or has been diagnosed with pre-diabetes, consider joining our program. As a year-long program, we have the luxury of taking the slow and steady route. And as you know, slow and steady wins the race!
Research consistently shows that short-term changes, crash diets, and the like do not provide lifelong benefits. Eating healthier, moving more, identifying and coping with stress and learning how to stay on track are the cornerstones of the DPP. Coupled with the resources provided by having Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educators as facilitators, and Henry Mayo Fitness and other professional educators available to address their topics of expertise, makes Henry Mayo Community Education’s DPP a stand out.
